Product Description...
This is an absolutely stunning play set suitable for children aged 1 year and over. The wooden fish bodies are cut, sanded, shaped and waxed by hand. Each one has a generous sized loop of rope to make "hooking" the fish an achievable feat.

A small slice has been skillfully cut from the sides of the fish to prevent the crocheted tails from sliding off. Assembling the fish tails to the body is an enjoyable task for young children and assists with their fine motor skills 💗

🐟 Hook a fish using the fishing pole to encourage hand-eye co-ordination and colour recognition...

🐟 You could write different questions on a small piece of paper and blue tac them to the fish for a great question and answer game! E.g....
"Can you hook the fish with your name on it?"
"What is 1 + 3?"...
You could also write different questions on a piece of paper and tuck them into the crochet fish tail. Once the children hook a fish they need to answer the question. You could write things like "What's you favourite colour/animal/fruit" etc. This would be a great small group activity to use at the beginning of the year, or as a transition game...
